Testing structures for display for Tate Exchange

Last week we started testing structures for making the stands that display the information about coffee.

The firsts attempts were made using rods and strings that Maiko gave us and were used for another project the year before. The challenge was make it stand up stable for the safety of the visitors.

Then this week we make another structure more stable because already tested and used by a classmate for a old project. To be sure the structure remain steady we put a really resistant tape in the joints. Finally, we take advantage of the holes that were already at the extremities of the rods for let a string pass through and where to hang the open bags of coffee. On those we will pin easily all the information about the coffee life.

From this experience I learnt from a classmate how to joint sticks tied with strings and different structure for stands. It wasn't an easy challenge as it seemed because the hanged bags are quite heavy, so the structure not only had to be stable but also sturdy.
