Pechakucha 2

Writer's picture: Maria Laura BassiMaria Laura Bassi

Preparing this pechakucha at the beginning of this year, I had to reflect about the course of my project until now.

To be able to talk and explain my project to people is a hard job because obligate to reflect on the strength and the weakness of it, but give also the opportunity to make ourself more aware of the own ideas. It help to focus the attention on if they need more deep knowledge, for example.

The session of comments and questions that follow encourages new ideas and inspirations for the developing of the project:

Because the sculptures I did turn back to what they were, I have been asked if that always happen, if that is important for you. It is not, but I considered and saw some structures that in a way compose a figure and in another way compose a different one. I haven't taken as reference because it isn't part of my interests. My interests lay in track back geometry, polyhedra in particular, in objects and let them move, so the movement it belong to the polyhedron it self and is not use in order to move from a shape to another.

Another comment made me think about human body, which can be track back as points and lines itself.

Participating and listening at the comments to the other classmates help me also to write down and reflect on the questions to them and questioning my work, enriching and avoid to give for granted some aspect of it.

Note's about peers Pechakucha useful for self reflection on my own work
