Richard Buckminster Fuller was an American architect,systems theorist, author, designer, inventor, and futurist.

“After 1947, one invention dominated Fuller's life and career: the geodesic dome. Lightweight, cost-effective, and easy to assemble, geodesic domes enclose more space without intrusive supporting columns than any other structure; they efficiently distribute stress; and they can withstand extremely harsh conditions. Based on Fuller's "synergetic geometry," his lifelong exploration of nature's principles of design, the geodesic dome was the result of his revolutionary discoveries about balancing compression and tension forces in building."

Keeping in mind other applications of the same structure, existing as object of everyday life, highlight how a quite complex and engineering structure such as geodesic dome can be turn in a toy for children, where there is any need to understand how it work but it is easy enough to use it intuitively.
He also coined the term “tensegrity”, an elision of “tension and integrity” that use tension and compression forces between elements that don’t touch each other. In the 1949 he developed a tensegrity-icosahedron with this technology and was the base for the development of the geodesic
It always good to have a reminder of the structure I took as example to build my project on. Adding elasticity to the thread that keep together all the structure, I add a characteristic to my structures which made them a development of the original.
