This icosahedron really caught my attention. It is not a kinetic structure but it was interesting seeing how they have made the joint parts and how they imbedded the technology in it.

The first time I had spotted it, at the end of January, was when they were still working on its structure. Although it wasn't finished, how they made the joints caught my attention: it doesn't move but was a simple and efficient system. I wonder if I could have done it with rings in order to allow the movement.

I then reflect on how it works and its function: it doesn't do anything but when it works it almost hypnotising.

I had a tour to see what cci students had worked on and had new tips on how develops my practice or gets ideas on how they present their projects.

But most important, a project of a girl used a camera to detect the movement of the viewer and light up a horizontal bar in front of and follow him/her. The camera was the one used for the Xbox console. She told me she had to change some connecting cables and re programmed it in order to use it as she did so that I will need help of a technician if I wanted to do the same.
