I told Maiko about the launching CCI event and the luminous bar that tracks change of position of the human body in front of it. The camera that she used is this below:

Microsoft XBOX 360 Kinect Sensor.

As the girl of the event told be, I will need to adopt it to my laptop in order to configure it in a suitable way for my project. Something like this:

Adapter for other Xbox consoles and Windows PC:

In addition, I shown her a slightly smaller tensegrity cube that I made, with narrow cut at the extremity to get the elastic bands stuck better. I told her that when I made it this time, I changed the position where one wood rod joint another elastic band and what I got was a unexpected for me: I got another Platonic solid! I thought I just needed to adjust the position of the elastic bands but when I looked better I saw the figure of another regular polyhedron, an Octahedron.

After I saw it I actually wasn't so surprised because the octahedron is the dual of the cube, which means an associated figure where the vertices of the first one correspond to the faces of the second one and the edges between pairs of vertices of the first one correspond to the edges between pairs of faces of the second one. To have the tangible evidence of a definition studied only in theory is surprising and immediately I wanted to figure out how to make the rods move in order to reveal one figure or another tanks to the passing by the viewer in front of it. On a second moment, I admit that that is another way to let my cube move but it wasn't what I wanted to test, so I will keep the record of it and bring my attention on how the movement happen in the joints. It can be a good example to develop for my sculpture.

Maiko then suggested my to have a look at this Swedish design studio called Front (website available at: http://www.frontdesign.se/projects/ ). Two women Their projects express the design process behind them, the material they are made of and conventions about the design field. It might be a prospective for my professional future, also only to keep an eye on them and be expired from their work.
