Movement in wheels and umbrella

Writer's picture: Maria Laura BassiMaria Laura Bassi

The wheels I got from the disassembled printer had had a plastic structures with axes where to hang them and let them roll to get a precise movement and action done. Now I wanted to freely group them and put them on my metal mesh. To do that I needed other support for each of them and to keep two together, so I used galvanised garden wire to bend in the required length.

After that I realized it wasn't quite related to the movement and the project and wanted to develop, so I left it like that but I had the certainty it wasn't something I wanted embedded in my project.

Learnt lesson from disassembleing the printer led me to take another broken object and study the mechanism that make it work without disassembling it too mach to take every single components to reuse later.

Leaving intact the essential moving part let me the possibility to study it out of context and open potential way to develop for different project.
